While at OC I drank (one time) in a boy's apartment, smoked once in my own room, made out with boys all over campus, and stole a few tests and even a final and used them to cheat.
I am not proud of my behavior and I sure hope my child turns out better than me.
7:35 here...I happened a pun this blog by chance I guess. I was looking at other mom blogs and saw it on there 'list' and checked it out. Which I love it by the way. Hope you don't mind having me, I've been participating for a few weeks now.
I would have had no idea what OC was. And well of course didn't go there, so I'll just post the worse thing I did in college.
I went to college 11 hours away from where I grew up, so needless to say I went very wild. Drank to much (ended up in the hospital once), tried every drug, and slept with too many guys.
And no I am not proud of that, and after about 2 years of that I grew up and moved on with my life. But I got in to a lot of trouble during those years.
everybody makes mistakes, and everybody has a "past". Christ died for us while we were still sinners, and as far as I know, nobody is perfect yet, but forgiven. when i was in school, i had sex at the bible chair.
So just because you didn't go to 'Christian' college means your a non Christian? I grew up going to a private Christian school from grades 4k to 12 grade. Yes I made mistakes, and yes I 'lost' my way for awhile, but I would hardly call myself a 'non Christian'. It is funny how so many 'Christian's' on here are so quick to judge others.
I didn't go to OC. I went to a large public university. I drank way too much, smoked way too much weed, and hooked up with way too many boys. Looking back, I can't believe what a mess I was. I'm not saying I'm proud of my behavior, but I can say I have no regrets. I had some really good times back then!
I'm glad this blog is finding other people. That is so fun and of course you are welcome here!!
Question: DID ANYBODY SAY YOU ARE A NONCHRISTIAN IF YOU DIDN'T GO TO OC? I'm sorry 8:58 but no one did!
Also, NOBODY IS SAYING THEY ARE PROUD OF SINNING 8:54. THey are answering the question!!!!!!! I understand your concern but I think this is just showing people that we aren't better than nonchristians! We just don't have to carry around guilt, we have no reason to lose hope, and we strive to do better.
That said. Worst thing I did at OC was also sign out to my parents house and stay the night in hotels or friends houses. I also snuck out at night, ran behind a tree, was picked up by a bball player, and taken to his house to chill with others.
I don't regret because it's over. I wish I would have done things differently, but I can't change it. I'll just try and encourage my kids more to do better.
I think 9:31 summed up my college days, only difference I did end up at OC for my first two years then transferred out. My parents sent me there, bc they thought I would party at a big university and fail out. Needless to say I partied the same at OC and the public school and didn't fail out of either!!!
For those of you that made big mistakes while you were a Christian (such as sex in the Bible chair, partying, etc), but are now trying to live a Christian life the best you can, and regret what you did, have you ever apologized to the people that you had sex with, partied, whatever? I'm just curious.
I had a big problem with gossip in my younger days, particularily workplace gossip. (Yes, I know it is just as bad as premarital sex, etc.)
Years later, I found the people I gossiped to on Myspace/Facebook and apologized to them, saying that I wasn't being a good example of Christ, etc.
It was so relieving after I told them that.
If I had had premarital sex, I would apologize to the people that I had premarital sex with, saying that I wish I had been a better example of CHrist, etc.
I don't think if you're married it's ever a good idea to go seek out those you had sex with before you were married and apologize to them. Really, what good can come of that? It was a mistake in my opinion, and my husband knows, but I don't think he'd like me trying to go look them up. Way different in my opinion than apologizing for gossip, which was probably a good thing to do. Would you want your husband (if you're married) talking to ex-girlfriends he's had sex with, especially if he hasn't talked to them or heard from them in 10 years?
Did lots of crazy things in college. I was a Christian but didn't go to a Christian school.
Had sex, smoked marijuana, partied...but in no way was I really a "partier" by most standards.
Honestly after my experience with marijuana I really can't say it's more harmful than alcohol, even though I grew up not drinking or doing drugs and thinking they were very bad. I think alcohol on average is much more addicting and harmful to your body. But since marijuana is "illegal" my husband and I are living by the rules of the country and don't do that anymore.
2:34 - I don't think she means calling them. Just a simple apology through Facebook, or find their address in the alumni directory and mail them a letter. Of course emphasize that you do not want them to contact you or anything like that.
What good can come of apologizing that you were a good Christian example?
Well, someone might become a Christian as a result of it.
Behavior is one of the most powerful ways to tell someone about Jesus / God.
Well I'm my husbands first kiss, we were both virgins when we married. However, I would encourage him to apologize to someone he had been a poor example to, such as having sex with, etc if that was the case. I would have no prob with him doing it through Facebook, as long as they didn't become Facebook friends.
hahaha, apologize to those I had sex with. First I don't even remember most of their names, have no idea where they would live, and I sure wouldn't want to drag them up on FB even if I could remember their name and could find them. I'm not sorry I did it, I had fun and enjoyed it at the time and so did they. I've asked for forgiveness since. Not sure what the point of that would be. Some of you people crack me up...

This question is going to be a GREAT witness for non Christian.

8:36 - Yes but we shouldn't go on sinning so that grace may increase. We shouldn't be proud of our sins

Didn't go to OC. Been following and posting on Anonymous Truths for sometime. Have shared it with several others.

Worst thing I did in college was almost cheat on my boyfriend (he is my husband now, I am so thankful I didn't cheat on him!)
High school was when I got my crazies out!

Hmmm... I'd have to say that my college years were full of a lot of innocent fun.
Chalk outlines, water fights, lots of good times, no weed, no alcohol.
Looks like most people didn't even go to OC.
