Stimulus money will be taken out of the people's taxes. That money is not growing on trees.
"If the federal government really wanted to help us, they would have sent those dollars down without any strings attached,"
The current administration is trying to buy/bully/force/cram their agenda. Nobody should be required to do anything that comes down from the government. Check the Constitution. The government isn't supposed to have this much power, but they are taking it anyway.
I don't trust them or their agenda. I'm sure there are lots of strings attached to that stimulus money.

Name ONE thing the Obama Administration has done to curtail the freedoms of Americans. I think a poster on yesterday's hit it right on the head. You can't complain about the current administration "buy/bully/force/cram their agenda"!!
Look at Iraq! Look at the Patriot Act and all it's implications! THOSE things were forced down our throats! Look at the ILLEGAL wiretapping done by the PrevAdmin! Look at the torture of prisoners! Look at how ANYONE in the early months of the Bush admin was attacked for even questioning the president! They were called traitors! If that's not bullying ...
O. M. G!!! Your accusing Obama of doing EXACTLY the SAME thing! Only Obama hasn't transgressed NEARLY what the Bushies did.
As to this question: We all know that if you DON'T attach strings to state money, then it gets spent on stuff the money was never intended for. If your looking for something to not trust, you better not trust the states, mine, yours and all of ours. States can't be trusted with fed money.

People are not educated enough about this to answer it. It is much easier to love or hate a president than to consider a real issue.
