Close to family.
Below the mason dixon line! Mainly 90 miles south of Atlanta!
As a single person- NYC, Paris, Chicago.
As a family- OKC, Portland, Nashville, Fayetteville.
I can't imagine a better place to raise a family than in Oklahoma.
Near the ocean. Edmond is a nice place though. I like being in an area that has numerous CofC's to choose from, you don't find that everywhere.
i would like to live in boulder, or some community that doesn't embrace Jesus. then i could hopefully teach them about Him
Chicago or Dallas. Or if I can't have either of those then anywhere tropical
TEXAS - but really - any place you live is HOME if you are near those you love. Today I'd like to be in Hawaii!
....seriously...your answer is Oklahoma? I would like to live somewhere near the ocean away from the bible belt. Where the people in the church are real and the body of Christ is in full action.
I like it here, though I wouldn't mind having time shares in Hawaii and Colorado.
Austin, Texas. It's still southern but very West Coast. It has great music, jobs, people, churches, and culture.
Where you can reach people who are hurting and need Jesus.....
Well I've only lived in two states so any place else I say will be a guess. I do think I would miss southern hospitality if I lived anywhere else.
I've lived in the bible belt my entire life, and I'd love to live somewhere else. Somewhere with warm weather, laid back, open minded, liberal people. Near the coast. I wouldn't mind Austin, TX or Colorado.
The West Coast (whoop whoop!)
Great weather.
Politically and culturally diverse.
Close to excellent universities.
Lots of interesting things to do and see nearby.
TEXAS! - Is there anywhere else??
So far I've lived in 8 states and some are better than others. But I think as long as you are close to family, friends or whoever it is that you hold close to your heart then you are doing great.
There are things about the Northern US that are better than the South (food, dialects, winter...), but the South has just as many great qualities (people are friendlier--although that's not always a good thing, more churches to choose from, and Sonic..)
Sonic is a lot of places now! (And there was much gladness and rejoicing!)
If money were no object, I would have all of the following...
Huge family home in Oklahoma on tons of land
Cool one bedroom condo in downtown Chicago
Small house on the beach in San Diego
I love where I live, on the water with No neighbors in sight. It's beautiful. I just wish my family would move somewhere else ;) I wish I lived in Edmond again. I loved being surrounded by good Christians and not so diverse people.
