We are starting a new one this year...per my 5 year olds request..BANANA SPLITS on Christmas Eve. I'm excited!
Growing up, my parents purchased ornaments that meant something (the year I went to Disney World,it was a Disney World ornament, stuff like that.) Well they would date them and we would decorate the tree in DATE order. It was fun and we would laugh at memories each year. It was a VERY NEAT!!!
Eating, eating and more eating. Games, puzzles, rented movies, going to the movies. Visiting w/those who have driven in. Making new memories and remembering those who have gone before. Lighting a small candle in memory of my sister who loved Christmas so very much.
we always go to IHOP on Christmas Eve. don't know why it started but no matter where we are we always find one near.with half of our family so far away, it is often one of only a few times each year we see them. catching up through email is never the same as personally. games and laughs amd football.
